While I have both created, read, viewed and used some of the resources listed in the Modding Resource Catalogue (MRC), their existence should not be considered a recommendation nor an endorsement from me. That being said, the lack of a listing should not be considered disapproval of the resource, unless it breaks a rule, just that I am unaware of it. If I have missed a resource, please contact me and let me know!
Hosting Resources
This site does not physically host anything except the images used in resource articles. All resource links lead to external locations like Discord Servers, Github Sites and Repositories, Google Drives, Personal Websites, Youtube and sometimes Nexus.
My reason for this is simple, I firmly believe owners have the right to complete control over their work.
What’s In, Out or Restricted
The following is the current policy on listing resources in MRC.
Rule 42
No resource, individual, organisation, server, hosting site shall promote or ignore racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, acephobia, sexualising children, hate, violence or bullying, piracy of games or mods or their assets or be behind a paywall of any kind.
Patreon, Buy Me a Coffee or similar services are fine, as long as a payment is not required for the resource listed in MRC.
Out
Out means out, almost always. There are some very rare exceptions with the final decision always being mine. That being said, please feel free to contact me to discuss a specific case if you would like, though no promises and no does mean no.
No Exceptions!
Restricted
Restricted generally means there is no direct link to the resource, instead the user will be provided enough information to find it themselves. However, for some resources it could mean that only select resources will be listed.
This site will never intentionally contain NSFW images or content, including resource images and descriptions. However, I am not here to judge what others create and use, as long as they are not breaking Rule 42. Therefore, MRC may contain resources, like mods, which contain NSFW content but they will be flagged as such.
In
Basically anything not listed above that doesn’t break Rule #42.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Discord hosted resources and their servers
- Github content
- Youtube videos or any similar venue
- Personal Website
- Google Documents or any other form of online documents
- Nexus articles that are guides or contain useful information
- Anything other source i haven't thought of
